C3S Securiglass can provide a complete range of security glasses to counter perceived threats by meeting and exceeding the relevant British and European Standards. C3S Securiglass has the experience to ensure that the correct glass is specified in the first instance.
Standards have been introduced to ensure that the security glass will resist the perceived threat whether physical or ballistic.
physical attack resistant
Physical attack resistant glass should conform to the various categories of BS5544. C3S Securiglass can offer physical resistant glass qualities ranging in thickness from 7.5mm to 21mm. This type of glass can withstand sustained manual force.
ballistic attack resistant
Ballistic attack resistant glass should conform to the various categories identified in BS5051. C3S Securiglass can offer ballistic resistant glass qualities ranging in thickness from 23mm to 55mm. This type of glass can withstand threats from ballistic attack using handguns and rifles.
explosion resistant
Unlike physical and ballistic attack resistant glass specifications, there is no defined standard against which the correct glass can be specified. Effectively, explosion resistant glasses can be either standard laminated glasses or project specific.
Performance can be enhanced by incorporating the laminated glass into an double glazing unit, the outer pane frequently being a toughened glass.
